As we plan their high school experience they are looking forward to using our homeschool flexibility to take a variety of technology and programming classes during their high school years. This year they are taking a live online technology class with MYTEK LAB.
This year, my 8th grader asked for a Computer Science elective. She was ready for a real world programming language after several years of Lego Robotics and other coding activities using Scratch. Thanks to her interest in Minecraft, we began looking for a way for her to begin to learn Java programming for beginners. Thanks to being a part of the Timberdoodle Blog Team, she got to take Java programming as an online self paced course.
so I’m actively looking for programming opportunities and classes for him outside of the robotic competitions. When I heard about Eureka Champs Online Coding Classes it sounded like a great opportunity to build his skills.
or our next-level coding, we are using the Code Lab. This time we have 60 different components to work with including temperature & light sensors and more options for lights and sounds. The kit comes simply packaged in a storage box with a guidebook and a USB cable.
Let’s Start Coding’s Code Rocket is a circuit board project to introduce students to C++ programming in a fun and engaging way. This project took our computer programming knowledge to the next level as we learned to write real code instead of using visual blocks.
