Over that time I have found a few systems I use to stay organized and to keep school organized with three grade levels going at the same time. One of the most important set of tools I use is Google Workplace products.
I was excited to have the opportunity to receive an Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership to SchoolhouseTeachers.com because I have considered it before when choosing curriculum for our family. Even without a membership you can browse the online classes they offer to see if it’s a good fit for you. I was curious to try it because I like to pick and choose different materials throughout the year, and this has lesson plans and materials already put together for each class making my planning easier.
Who would have guessed that 2020 would be one for the history books when it started. It’s been strange, unexpected, and even good at some moments. As we reflect back on all that was and wasn’t this year, I’m sharing my Top 10 posts from the year.
On adventure days our child takes a backpack. It has many of the sensory tools we have found to help them adapt for their sensory challenges. Having tools available to them empowers them to control the situation and learn to stay calm. We are able to make the best of the environments we encounter.
As we added a child with challenges and eventually another brother, our routine changed. Now our school looks like a one room school house where as many subjects as possible are taught to everyone at the same time.
