    SchoolhouseTeachers for Online Classes

I was excited to have the opportunity to receive an Ultimate PreK-12 Annual Membership to SchoolhouseTeachers.com because I have considered it before when choosing curriculum for our family. Even without a membership you can browse the online classes they offer to see if it’s a good fit for you. I was curious to try it because I like to pick and choose different materials throughout the year, and this has lesson plans and materials already put together for each class making my planning easier.

Going Back to Public School with an IEP

I have always told myself that I would do what each kid needed, even if that was different for each child.  This year, for a time, we had kids in both public school and homeschool. He struggled, which made watching the transition even harder for me.  There was no cheers when the bus arrived each morning for him.

    Mid-year changes for 4th, 3rd and Kindergarten

Our school year is half over and in many ways it feels like it flew by and also went at a snail’s pace.  Either way, here we are at the mid-point evaluating our initial plans.  We tried several new things this year, many of which worked great! A few things worked not so well.    We started the year with doing more online classes, a new local drop off co-op, and have one in public school.  So let’s see how each student is doing.
