Math Summer Practice ideas using Digital Homeschool Curriculum
The Summer slide is real and even happens to homeschoolers! It’s one reason we have adopted a more year-round schedule for our family. Our summer learning has a different flow and is a time I like to use to try out new things while keeping the basics strong.
Many places including the Homeschool Buyers Club offer free summer trials of digital homeschool curriculum so you can see if they will work for your family before you invest in programs for the whole school year.

Math Summer Practice
One subject that always a few more weeks to wrap up at our house is math, it’s just not a subject you can stop in the middle or skip around like everything else. With a student with Dyscalculia it’s even more important to keep the math practice going as part of our summer homeschool schedule.
We have a daily checklist during the summer and at the top of the list is math for everyone. After they wrap up their school year math they get to choose from different math summer practice options each day.
Save $$$ on digital homeschool curriculum
Homeschool Buyers Club has a variety of options of math summer practice options and trials you can choose from to keep summer learning interesting and fun. You can also get deals on the curriculum you plan to use during the school year.
We save money by purchasing digital homeschool curriculum that we can print each year for each kid. We bought our Math Mammoth curriculum from Homeschool Buyers Club when my oldest started using it. All three kids have used it since then, making it a really smart purchase.
I like digital homeschool curriculum because we don’t have to store it on the shelf and I can print it as we go so if it doesn’t work anymore we haven’t wasted as much. For math I print a chapter at a time and put it in the student’s binder, removing the completed chapter.

Summer is for trying new things
In addition to math summer practice activities our daily checklist include reading, chores and another learning activity. There are so many free options to try out from Homeschool Buyers Club to fit all ages and interest for summer learning. i’m looking at the online piano options and guitar classes for my kids. Music is not a strong area for me but my kids are interested so I’m happy to outsource it for a good deal!
Summer is great time to find new ways to learn and explore new interests. Check it out and see what works for your family and how much you can save and collect some bonuses!
