Do You Have a Sensory Seeker or Sensory Avoider?

A friend asked me the other day about her child, “He loves to crash and play but can’t calm down very easily when he is hyped up, and he also eats holes in all his shirts. Do you think they could be related?” Before she finished, the memories flooded back of one of my kids at a younger age when I was asking similar questions about them. Homeschooling a Dyslexic Child for their Strengths

For my youngest it was dyslexia and we wondered when he wasn’t reading as soon as his siblings did. I didn’t realize all his tower building as a toddler also pointed to being dyslexic. Learning more about the strengths of it made me glad we are homeschooling our dyslexic child.

What makes Out of the Box Kids different?

Out of the Box Kids don’t fit the standard, “one size fits all” box. They are a little extra, more intense. They play harder and ask more questions. They may carry a special toy longer and hate change. Their brains are wired differently, often due to a learning difference or a disability.
