I do think a Y membership is a smart thing for homeschool families to have, though, because it supports the whole family, especially MOM. Today I have 3 reasons why joining the local Y is something every homeschool family should consider.
a last minute stop to the Fort Donelson Visitor Center in Dover, TN. We traveled from Nashville to get there and Google’s direct route was rather scenic.
We had 2 goals when we set out to visit Dayton Ohio: First was to visit my cousins who live there, and second was to earn some Junior Ranger badges (duh!). Dayton, Ohio is the birthplace of aviation.
And later I returned with each of her brothers for the same special trip. Just them and mom to see the sites that interest them specifically. We learned a lot along the way and now I want to share my tips for visiting Washington DC with kids with you!
The beauty of homeschooling is we can find ways to include our children’s passions in our learning. That means finding ways to include even their computer games in school. All 3 of my kids live and breathe Minecraft.
