At our house we believe screen time isn’t bad. We believe it’s a tool, and it’s how it’s used that is most important. We have given our kids screens for awhile and each has a hand me down Android device that they use to see the family calendar, family chats and also for games.
Over that time I have found a few systems I use to stay organized and to keep school organized with three grade levels going at the same time. One of the most important set of tools I use is Google Workplace products.
Technology is not going away, and our kids need to be ready to use it as adults. Online classes can be a great way to help them learn the technology and also lighten the load on you as the homeschool teacher. The Skrafty community began as a group of moderated Minecraft servers for homeschoolers, and now offers a full range of online classes.
