And sometimes you discover you have what you need right in front of you. Which is what happened when one of the kids announced they had the formula for “The Best Day Ever!”
Many families are looking at other options for their family, including homeschooling for the first time. During the crisis schooling period, families discovered the classroom learning to be less than a parent’s ideal.
Recently, I sat down with the SPED Homeschool podcast to chat about embracing our Out-of-the-Box life. We talked about why we started our school year in July and slowly added more subjects. This year we are planning our first year as eclectic homeschoolers with no boxed curriculum, as we are constantly changing up our curriculum to fit the needs of each child.
I do think a Y membership is a smart thing for homeschool families to have, though, because it supports the whole family, especially MOM. Today I have 3 reasons why joining the local Y is something every homeschool family should consider.
