Recently I sat down with Tricia from the Homeschool Breakroom to chat about homeschooling.  She has a wonderful blog and YouTube channel full of practical help and homeschool tips.   We chatted about the flexibility we have in homeschooling to adapt the materials you already have to fit any child.  We discovered that we both have kids with different needs and have had to find ways to make adjustments to the curriculum we have purchased over the years.

We chatted about what it really means to be a gifted student.  It’s more than just being a fast learner and quick to catch on to new concepts.  It’s about wanting to go deeper in their learning and always asking the why behind concepts.  Gifted students are just as different from the typical student as other special needs students are, and our homeschool have the flexibility to reflect that.

I loved learning from Tricia about her favorite summer planner. She shared how she plans her whole summer on one sheet of paper! After we chatted I went and printed a copy for myself and it has been super helpful to see it all on one page! The link to the planner is in the show notes. Go check it out!
