Cynthia Heren is a speaker, writer and homeschooling mom of 3 since 2014. With a variety of learning disabilities and other challenges across her 3 kids, her homeschool requires Outside the Box ideas. 

Normal at her house includes 2 trampolines, 5 sizes of pencils and indoor and outdoor swings, and a whole room full of LEGOs.

Can I really teach my child at home when I feel like I’m struggling as their parent?

For children with learning disabilities or other challenges, learning at home can actually be the best Individualized Education Plan because it is a familiar environment and they can learn at their own place, however fast or slow.  I can help you choose materials that fit both your child’s needs and your teaching style and budget.  

We have tried traditional schools a few times for our students, and the extra support my kids would receive doesn’t compare to the ways we can naturally provide accommodations in our home just like we do for other skills.  .

FAQs

No, I hold no medical degrees, just self education to create the peaceful home learning environment that helps my own 3 students with learning disabilities and other challenges succeed as well as other families.

Homeschooling including preschool since 2011.  Each of my three students as their own mix of diagnosed challenges including  Autism, ADHD, Gifted, Anxiety, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia and fine motor delays, weak executive function

You must look for the underlying cause for why a child is struggling before you can determine if  Diet and medication can be helpful when used in the right situations.    I am not trained to offer suggestions on medications or supplements. 

During your first appointment we will discuss your goals are to see which plan is right for you.  The cost of your first session can be credited towards a plan if you choose to upgrade. 

We have different monthly plans for ongoing support in addition to one time appointments. 

Our plans range from the 2 months Quick Start to Success to the 12 month, Homeschool Marathon Prep plan.

Meetings can be rescheduled at no charge with 24 hours notice. 

Due to the intangible nature of mentoring no refunds will be given after  services have been rendered.

If unusual circumstances arise Coaching Plans can be canceled with notice 7 days before your recurring billing cycle.  

Each meeting will include a follow up email with action steps and additional resource suggestions.
